As of this day, we have had 52 Booster Calls - here is a summary of the last three
Booster Call number 52 was made to purchase computer systems for the Baptist Seminary in Cameroon, Africa. Since we are all in the computer age, we know how access to computer equipment can enhance education. Our donation will help provide ministers to carry the Gospel of Christ to the people of Africa.
Booster Call number 51 was made in in support of the American Baptist Mission in the Kodiak. Members of ABM and ABW presented a check in person in the Summer of 2007. The total amount raised was $4,700.
Booster Call number 50 was put out in support of Camp Judson, an American Baptist camping facility in Northwestern Pennsylvania. The board of commissioners at the camp requested funding to make repairs to their salad bar as well as replacing old dining hall chairs that are no longer serviceable. A total of $4,500 was raised in support of this ministry.
Booster Call number 49 was issued in support of American Baptist Men’s work at the national level. At the October 2004 board meeting, the board voted to close the call, having raised approximately $4,300. Booster Call number 48 which had been issued for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic that was being sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro, PA. On December 27, 2003, they traveled to build a school in a "shanty town" outside of San Pedro de Marguires. This Booster Call was to help purchase building materials and medical supplies. Please read the letter from our Pastor Counselor and from our Booster Chairman. As of the 49th annual retreat, we had already raised over $3,300. When we closed the call at the fall board meeting in October 2003, the final tally was $4,500.
Booster Call number 47 was for The Greene County Habitat for Humanity to help raise funds to equip their distribution center with needed tools such as table saws, radial arm saws, routers, drill presses and the like. This call raised $4,307. Thank you for making this call a great success.
